As this is being written, the choice for the White House dog for the new president's daughters, Malia and Sasha, will be either a Labradoodle or a Portuguese Water Hound. The family is looking for a dog that needs a home, a rescued dog.
Two big movie hits are Marley and Me and Hotel for Dogs...both films are reported as entertaining and fun with lots of tail wagging emotion...

Pages for Preston
The third grade students in the Longfellow elementary school in Sheboygin, WI, have continued this year in their therapy reading dog program, Pages For Preston.
Teacher Julie Hauck, creator of the program, herself a certified therapy dog trainer, is owner of Preston and Jezebel, the dogs to whom the children read.
She recently told us that her students read the complete Planet of the Dogs series..."They read Planet Of the Dogs in October, Castle In The Mist in November and Snow Valley Heroes, A Christmas Tale in December...they love reading the books..I see an increase in skills, motivation and enthusiasm."
