A Dog’s Conversation with God...
Nancy Houser, on Way Cool Dogs, has a curiousity, imagination, and great knowledge of dog matters.Recently, she reported on a Dogs Conversation with God...
"A dog’s conversation with God is a real thing. Or is it God speaking to dogs? Anyway … dogs are and always have been a direct link to the higher powers of creation. They forgive us no matter what we do, how bad of a day we have had, or how they are treated. Know anybody else like that on earth?
In other words, we are pretty sure dogs are heaven’s angels sent down to teach us what life is all about in the most forgiving of ways. However, listening into a dog’s conversation with God may not be exactly what we think …"

When Alice is enthusiastic...
Alice Berger (Berger's Book Reviews) writes insightful, concise, and informed book reviews, mostly books for kids and young adults. When Alice is excited, I pay attention. Here is an excerpt of her review of Alphabet Woof, by Sherrie A Madia...
"Alphabet Woof! is written in rhyme, with bright and vibrant illustrations of Moxy (a dog) and his family. This funny story is full of laughs, and kids will enjoy seeing this lovable dog’s crazy rise to fame. But all good things tend to run their course, and Moxy’s story is no exception.
If dogs could really talk, they’d give a big cheer for Sherrie A. Madia, since a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the SPCA. If you’d like to see what Moxy has to say, visit this interview with the famous canine himself. And you can also check out these Pet Safety Tips, to keep your pets healthy and happy through the holidays. A wonderful read for all ages, Alphabet Woof! is highly recommended.

Amy's website -- www.mommy-mentor.com -- is a guide for mothers...she reviews and finds deals on a great variety of products and giveaways, including children's books. Here is an excerpt:
"Do you remember the sense of accomplishment when you could finally read chapter books as a child?...Mr. C read his first chapter book at the end of his Kindergarten year...We spent this summer reading Cam Jansen and a few Magic School Bus chapter books, but recently started reading Snow Valley Heroes: A Christmas Tale...
(the book)is a fantasy-adventure chapter book for 6-12 year-olds and capitalizes on the love of animals that almost all children experience. The characters and story lines are so engaging for our son as they feel more "real" to him that the chapter books he has been reading. The story line is fantasy, which allows us rich conversations around what that means, and throughout the story, Mr. C is absorbed and wanting to know what happens next..."
The review continues, sharing the experience of a mother and son, as they experience an adventure in reading.

Rose In A Storm
A major blizzard disrupts the farm in multiple destructive ways bringing a snow driven struggle for survival to this powerful story.
An extra dimension is provided throughout by Katz's informed knowledge, from both research and direct experience with his own dogs -- Rose, Izzy, Lenore and Frieda -- when he takes you into Rose's mind and reveals the canine soul.
The illustration on the left, drawn by Stella Mustanoja McCarty for Snow Valley Heroes, A Christmas Tale, very closely resembles photos of the real life Rose found on Jon Katz's informative and welcoming website (www.bedlamfarm.com),
